It all started with...

a little book called 50 Hikes In Wisconsin. My son and my buddy, Andrew, picked it out.  He loves the state, and since he's autistic, in his particular case, he has every road and town memorized. It seemed like a perfect fit. So, we started our hikes.  The first one was to the Dells of the Eau Claire. At that time, the camera was just an afterthought.  However, on our next hike, we went to the Mecan Springs State Natural Area, and there, in addition to picking up a few wood ticks, we saw the bald eagles.  From that point forward, I knew that I had to document our many adventures through state parks and the Ice Age and North Country trail systems.  Along the way, my love for photography grew and grew.  It got to the point where it also became my passion to share, not only my photography, but the amazing sights and beauty of nature. Most of the time, I'm busy doing the things a pastor does, and Andrew works in our local library, but we're dedicated to strapping on our boots, grabbing a camera or two, and finding someplace not terribly far away where we can reconnect with nature and ourselves. I truly hope the pictures and stories you see here bring you lasting enjoyment, insight, and renewal.  If you're interested in purchasing a prints or would like to inquire about photographic services, please drop my a line on my contact page or send an email.  If you enjoy hiking as we do, we hope to see you out there!
